Hazardous materials testing in Porto
Older buildings can contain materials that are unsafe to disturb. On request we add testing for lead, asbestos and mould to an inspection, so you know before you renovate or move in.
What we check
- Lead: in old paint and old pipework
- Asbestos: suspect materials such as old fibre-cement roofing and sheeting
- Mould: where damp has created the conditions for it
Why it matters
Older properties built before these materials were restricted may still contain them. They are not a danger if left undisturbed, but renovation can change that.
The scope depends on the property, so we quote the testing after you send us the listing. It is added to an inspection so the findings sit in one report.
